About me

Autoportrait 600pxI never thought that I’d be a wedding photographer - but for as far back as I can remember, I've always loved art.

Growing up in rural Europe, there was little hope to make a living as an artist. Of all possible careers on this planet, I think my parents would have been hard put to name one less useful than photography when it came to securing the keys to an executive bathroom - even more so when photography went digital - so I went on to become an engineer.

After obtaining my doctoral degree in cancer biology, I moved to Boston to pursue my hope of making the world a better place, but I felt it was time for me to make a difference in people's lives - a difference I could witness while I was still alive: I became a part time wedding photographer by second-shooting for several well known photographers in New England. From Boston to the Cape, the Hamptons and New-York. This not only allowed me to improve my technical skills, but it also provided me with a wonderful opportunity: to see how other photographers work and how they perceive wedding photography, something I still enjoy doing today. This is also a great way to stay inspired.

Of course, during a wedding, taking pictures is my job - but I'm always looking to add a spark to it - that little thing that will bring you back to the feeling you had during the split second the shot was taken, even twenty years from now and during each wedding, I strive to make a difference in peoples' lives.
